![]() ![]() Our predefined layer filters will help isolate what you’re looking for to speed up your workflow. This single process will save you time when using our company template with hundreds of predefined layers within it. You can only see the filter’s layers + the current layer in the layer toolbar in the ribbon. ‘C-STRM’ Layer Filter is Selected…see next image to see the new result. You can see all layers in the layer toolbar in the ribbon. ‘All’ is selected…see the result in the next image. The Group filter is a manual filter where you drag and drop the layers you wish to be in the filter. ![]() I could have used a Layer Group filter, but I chose not to. I repeated it with ‘C-TOPO*’ and ‘Layer*’ for the other filter.The ‘Layer*’ entry allows you to add a layer within the filters. The Layer Property filters were created by right-clicking on ‘All’, selecting ‘New Properties Filter’, and entering ‘C-STRM*’ in the name field of one line, then ‘Layer*’ on the next line. I also created Layer Property Filter to feed the rest of this blog post. I created some dummy layers in the out-of-the-box ‘acad.dwt’ file. This post is intended to help reinforce/document that training and also provide a tip to help speed up your workflow. In a recent training, we learned about how to use Layer Property and Layer Group filters to help narrow the list of layers available to select from.
